Toxicologic Pathology Associates, Inc (TPA) is seeking candidates for several open Laboratory Technician positions. The laboratory technician will perform basic necropsy and histology laboratory procedures and must possess considerable manual dexterity in order to be efficient and productive. Duties may include basic dissection, tissue/blood collection/preservation, recording gross observations in a computerized data collection system, tissue trimming, processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, cover-slipping and basic laboratory support functions including labeling, solution preparation, documentation or other related duties at the direction of the laboratory supervisor. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), and company policies/procedures in the performance of all duties and maintain safety through appropriate use of personal protective equipment and by observing safe work practices. Good attendance and punctuality are basic requirements for this position.



TPA provides pathology and pathology-related services to the Food and Drug Administration's National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR) located in Jefferson, Arkansas. Current positions range from entry level laboratory technician who can execute basic laboratory procedures to more advanced biotechnician positions for individuals who have an HT or HTL (ASCP) certification and are able to supervise the work of, and train entry level technicians. TPA provides a comprehensive benefits package to its employees and a competitive starting salary commensurate with experience, expertise and skill set. Employment of successful candidates will contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory drug screening report, obtaining the necessary government security clearance and successfully passing the required physical examination. Drug screening is provided by an off-site third party and is paid for by TPA.  The annual physical examination is provided by an NCTR Occupational Medical Program and is at no cost to the employee.
