Paraplast plus is my personal favorite.

The paraffins available from lab suppliers (not candle makers) is all of excellent quality these days. There is some variability, but choice of paraffin usually comes down to personal preference.
If you are having problems cutting it may well be related to other factors like fixation and processing, and of course, the microtomy.
