Fast pace GI pathology lab located in Murrieta, CA seeking lab assistant with histology experience. Certification not required but preferred. 
Seeking a full-time histology tech or lab aid to join United Medical Doctors GI Pathology Lab.
Job Responsibilities:   
   - Accessioning, processing, embedding, cutting and staining of GI tissue specimens.
   - Perform clerical and laboratory duties. 
   - Must be detail oriented. 
   - Daily specimen transportation from local surgery centers. 
   - Perform technical duties related to the production of histology slides.
   - Ability to troubleshoot technical and histology related errors. 
   - Operate and maintain manual and automated instruments.   

   - Perform and document equipment maintenance as needed.
   - Record equipment log data in an accurate and timely manner.
   - Adhere to the laboratory's policies and procedures.
   - Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, analysis and reporting.
