[Histonet] Plasma from cap tube

Hey folks, I’ve started  a project using owl blood. We need to isolate the plasma.  Spinning down the blood is the easy part. I’m sort of confused on the best way to draw off the plasma. I’ve heard rumors about hypo needles that do the job, but the ones I’m finding seem too short.  Anyone with some hints on the best way to separate formed elements and plasma from capillary tubes?
