[Histonet] combining cytology and histology

Hi Pam,
When I worked in a combined lab the cytology specimens were accessioned separately. The cyto staff were also separate but were trained in some of the histology tasks (loading processors and accessioning). They could help out with those tasks if the histology lab was short staffed.
The histology staff, however, were not cross trained in any cytology tasks.
Sincerely,
Paula Sicurello
