[Histonet] stored in 80% isopropanol

Isopropanol processing is routinely used with formalin fixation.
Isopropanol is miscible in paraffin, so you can skip the clearing agents. Just run it down to 100% Isopropanol as you would do on a Ethanol processing schedule, then straight into paraffin.

I am also in research. I have very little to go on, but I presume it is not going to yield good results.

Hi,
If tissue is fixed in formalin ( I do not know if it is 10% NBF) then put in 80 % isopropanol can the tissue be processed as if it was in ETOH? What are the effects to the tissue stored in isopropanol?
Thanks,
