Subject: [Histonet] Warm formalin
Hello everyone!
We have a referring clinician that is concerned about leaving his specimens in an outdoor lockbox in the summer because the formalin will get hot. I don't think that having some specimens in formalin in hot weather would cause any problems but I can't find any references one way or another. Does anyone have any policies regarding this?
Thanks so much!
