A control block made of four tissues will cover the majority of IHC stains. Use appendix, tonsil, pancreas and liver in the block. It is important to select the tissues carefully to ensure they are fixed and processed appropriately. It is also important to test and document the tissues before adding them to the multi tissue block. If anybody needs more information on the testing and building protocol please contact me directly.
