[Histonet] microtome woes

Greetings to all,

I have a microtome, purchased in 2013, that now needs both circuit boards replaced.  For the low, low price of $6400.  This seems like it may not be far off from the price of a new unit.  Would some of you be willing to share what brand of microtome you have, and what you paid?  I am hesitant to share on a public forum what my unit is, but privately....
