[Histonet] subbing positively charged slides

Does anyone know if it's ok to sub positively charged slides with chrome alum-gelatin. I seem to remember an incident where this did not work- but maybe it's just superstition... it seems as if the chrome alum might be positively charged itself and thus repelled from the surface of the slide...
