We have one as well but the special stains function for us was just something we thought we might use...we did purchase the bucket inserts just in case. But it was incompatible with simultaneously ding H&E's so we bought a Dako Artisan just for specials and love it.

I have the Leica Multistainer. It was purchased before I got here. The only thing I don't like is that the programs have to be "compatible" or else the machine alarms when you load a special stain onto the machine when it already has an H&E going. There's a rather complicated way to get the programs to be compatible which was explained to me when I went for training. You have to use an excel spreadsheet and figure out what rinse is where during all the programs. Yes, it's something Leica's engineers have to work on.

Does anyone have any feedback on the Leica Multistainer? It stains H&E as well as special stains.
Thanks,
