[Histonet] Clinical EM Labs?

I definitely have to agree about the "dying breed". Our hospital network closed down our whole specialty lab which included EM. It was very sad day when I had to turn off the scope for the last time.

I have some experiences in asking such type of general questions to Histonet members and frequently the answers are few and far apart.
I think that you should prepare a very short questionnaire and give it out at the next NSH meeting.
Perhaps the NSH could have some idea or the National Health Institute or the National Academy of Sciences.
You are right when writing that EM labs are a "dying breed". We used to be and no longer are.

Hello Netters and Listers,

I was wondering how many clinical EM labs there are in the US?  I get the
feeling that we are becoming a small group and just wanted to see who else
is out there.

My lab has two services:  surgical pathology and diagnostic virology.

Please contact me if you are clinical EM as well.

I figured, if we are a small group, we should get to know each other.

Thanks and have a nice weekend.

Sincerely,

Paula
