Friends -

One of our metrics we monitor in our lab is a receive to sign out time metric.  We measure the time the specimen comes to the lab to the time the case is signed out by a pathologist.  We normally run on average 31-32 hours per case for our inpatients (about 1200 cases per month) but I wanted to ask this group if you measure a similar metric.  If you do, was is your turn around time?  Any articles on the industry standard for this?  Thank you so very much for any/all help you can provide.
