Yes,  that sounds more reasonable. I have been on call for many years while on the bench- just never that much, or for that many consecutive hours individually. You always have set hours that you have to be available and respond within certain time frames and the days are rotated for on call. I never minded that much, and you can usually trade with someone if you have something important you need to do that takes you out of town.  Of course, I would hope for some compensation for the obliteration of my personal life with that many hours.  Appreciate your thoughts on this. 
If your lab has a policy for this that you can attach or copy to me the highlights in an email this will help me bargain.
