Hi Jackie,

The ethanol we use is denatured with a lot of stuff that can include methanol, MIBK, Toluene, and ethyl acetate , and our nuclear stains are crisp and sharp. I would start looking at fixation first, followed by their H&E stain procedure and reagents.
