Laurie,
Ideally you would use the same type of tissue as your test tissue. Our validation procedure states that we must run all (within reason) types of tissue that a particular antibody will be used with.

We are going to be running the p16 antibody from Biocare (RUO) on skin specimens. What type of tissue should I run for a positive control? The data sheet says normal testis..........
