We too have experienced problems (uneven H&E staining) from such slides. We were using Super-frost Plus without a problem, however, thought we could save a few dollars with another vendor.
We noticed their charged slides worked too well in that they trapped water under the slide after picking up the section from the water bath. After notifying the vendor, we were instructed to pick up the sections more vertically.  Really? Only been doing this for 30 years.
Even our usual procedure of a gentle tap of the slide to release the extra water, air drying for 20 minutes, then drying in a 60 degree slide drying oven for 1 hour, still showed some water trapped at the bottom of the section.
As a result, we stayed with what worked.
