Hi Anna,

Have you watched the slides get coverslipped and noticed it blowing air bubbles when it is dispensing the mounting medium? If no, then that is not where your problem is occurring.  Has your mountant gotten thick and is more viscous than when new?  What is your level of xylene in your bath? If it's low it can trap an air bubble at the very top of the slide when it finishes dropping the coverslip.
