[Histonet] Herovici stain

All,

 

Does anyone know what is the chemistry/biology that lets the stain
selectively bind mature/premature collagen?  I have tried looking for
any literature dealing with this topic but have come up empty.  If
anyone can give me any information or point me in the right direction of
where to find any information behind this stain it would be greatly
appreciated.  Thank you all in advance.
