[Histonet] overfixation of GI biopsies?

Hi to all-
I am looking through documentation and some say there is no such thing as overfixation - some say there is .  Does overfixation only pertain to IHC?  We are seeing some trouble with GI biopsies on Mon. morn - this is after they have been in formalin for >24 hours - any GI specialists out there?
