[Histonet] Leica CV 5030

Linda,

I addressed this issue before. The smallest gauge needle that Leica supplies
for the CV5030 is a 21 gauge needle which we found to be too big (too much
mounting media came out and made a mess of the slides). We found a company on
the internet that sells re-usable metal needles in all sizes.

The link is: www.dispensinglink.com We got a 23 gauge needle (1/2 inch shaft)
pk/12 for @$25.00. We tried different mounting media, currently use permount
(in a ratio 4 parts Permount : 1 part CitriSolv).

Anyone using the Lieca CV 5030, what mounting medium and what size needle are
you using?
Thanks,
Linda
