Billing, I believe is per specimen, not per block. You may receive a specimen and divide it into 20 blocks, but it is still just one charge.

We looked at these, but our Pathologist's first question was "can we bill for 6 or 8 bottles if they are technically all in one?"  How is that handled?

We don't currently use them but I've used them in the past.  As long as you don't 'bump' them on the grossing station while they're open, they're fine.  I have yet to see one leak.

Hello:

Has anyone used these prostate biopsy collection containers from Simport? It looks like a petri dish and has 12 individual wells in it, each one labelled with the location from the prostate.
We are going to trial them but I would like some opinions on them.
We currently get 10 to 12 bottles per case. So, all the bx's could go in this one container.
