The Medical University of South Carolina now offers a distance education (DE) option for HTL training. We currently have two DE students enrolled. The format of the program is designed for current employees in a histotechnology laboratory. The focus of the education is on the theory of histotechnology in order to prepare students for the HTL BOR exam. Evidence of clinical competence must be submitted throughout the program. Two start dates are available for DE students, April and September. We are currently accepting applications for the April 5th start date. For more information about the program, please see our website<http://academicdepartments.musc.edu/histotechnology/index.htm>.

If you have any questions about the program you may contact me via email or phone.
