The handling of CJD and other prion diseases is on the CDC website and that is the best place to understand the issues with equipment usage and contamination as well as procedures.  Many people have made comments however; the true issue is not just how to handle it but what you can not use again after you have used it for a CJD case or must quarantine and not use again for routine work.
