It is my understanding that it used for examaination and selection of retrieved archival (ie,previously diagnosed) tissue for molecular analysis (eg, KRAS mutational analysis).

Subject: [Histonet] CPT code 88363

Is anyone using the above CPT code for reviewing "old" pathology slides prior to ordering IHC testing or can it only be used for slide review prior to ordering molecular testing? Thanks.

Richard
