Histonetters, Does anyone know if Zinc Fixative(J B Fixative) inactivates viruses and prions? I need a reference and haven't found one in numerous literature searches. Our lab is concerned that there may still be active virus in zinc fixed tissue since it doesn't contain formalin. Thanks,
