We discussed this problem of weekend fixation of breast tissue (about 54 hrs in 10% NBF) with our Reference Lab and they reassured us that ER/PR IHC wouldn't be a problem. However, when ordering Her2, select FISH method instead of IHC. (Otherwise, if it is fixed for less than 48 hrs we would order Her2 by IHC, then reflex 2+ to FISH). Any thoughts about this?
