[Histonet] differentiation of optic tectum layers

Hello,

I want to stain sections of optic tectum to show the different
cellular layers. I am planning on using cresyl violet and luxol fast
blue. Anyone have any better ideas? I'm going to try H&E as well
simply because everyone knows it.
