Hi, what is the common opinion about the active ingredient in formaldehyde solution? Is it formaldehyde or methylenglycol (di-hydroxy-methan), that fixes the tissue? Or both? In solution most of the formaldehyde is hydrated and forms methylenglycol, only a small part remains as formaldehyde. Gudrun
