Tasha,
We have the Excelsior which we received a few weeks ago. We have not used it yet for patient specimens but will very soon. Our test runs went well except some breast tissue (probably cut too thick). Overall, the pathologist was happy with the results. There are many good features, but one of them was the potential savings of alcohol solutions. It has a built in hydrometer that measures the percentage of alcohol in the containers and it will let you know when to change it. We are also looking into the Tissue Tek VIP. We have the 300 model which we like but it is nearing it's life expectancy.
