We no longer release specimens to patients. If they want their tissue they have to go through a funeral home. Here in CT, funeral homes are the only agencies licenced to bury or incinerate human tissue.

Does anyone have a procedure they would be willing to share with me
regarding the release of specimens to the patient? We are revising our
whole process and I'm interested in what others are doing.
