I think reusing a specimen container is not a good idea.   It only takes one incident of cross contamination to bring a potential  lawsuit.  However, what about labeling the containers.  Do you have to peel all the labels off, including the formalin chemical hazard label?  I believe too that the tech time is much more costly and the exposure to formalin is unnecessary.
