(I consult on my free time) I work full time at a reference lab that has a Symphony(Demo) it has constantly gone down. Vacuum pumps (3 of them) vacuum tubing, leaking fittings. Coverslipper jams or applied unevenly onto slides.
To put some merit on the issue. I worked at another reference lab before this one for 3+ years before being recruited to where Im now. They too have a Symphony with the same issues. Both pressure, vacuum, leaking fittings, coverslipper cracking or misaligned on slides. The list above are repeated issues. There are many more but not as prevalent as what I listed. Please feel free to ask anyone who owns or is demoing this instrument to verify what I have stated.
