We are in the process of working it up in my lab. So far so good. We do not have our staining times perfected yet but we think Phoenix blue has potential to be a great solution to the shortage.
I'll keep you informed of the progress.

We also have been told that the shortage will last at least until the early autumn. Our pathologists are interested in the Phoenix Blue synthetic hematoxylin and we are supposed to be seeing some example slides next week. I can let you know what they think...
