I just put a good scoop of good ol' baking soda, instead of ammonia
water. Never a problem.

Dear Fellow Histotechs,

Our one pathologists'constantly complains that our frozen section
are not blue enough. We've tried leaving it in the Hematoxylin 2
& we even switched from ammonia water to Blue Buffer by Surgipath.
asking what procedures and/or chemicals other labs use in their frozen
section staining area. Thanks for any input.
