[Histonet] Immuno control blocks

Good morning:
My current assignment has me preparing microarray control blocks for IHC. Need feedback to this question:
If certain microarray are optimized for a particular antibody, is it acceptable to the pathologists and CAP to ignore background staining in non-optimized tissues within the microarray? I know what I think, but I need more than my opinion. What's happening in this area at you respective labs?
