[Histonet] curious about soaking paraffin blocks.

What I used to do is to place some water soaked paper towels ON the cool plate, and over the cooled soaked paper towel the faced off blocks. I also had one ice cube weapped in gauze to rub over the faced off block while in the chuck before taking the final ribbon.

coolplate and subsequently soak them in ice-water or ammoniacal water?
