Paula:
  Fibrin can be demonstrated with the stains developed by Kockel (1899) and Weigert (1887).
  It can also be detected with any H&E. As for platelets Giemsa for tissue is very good.

Hello Netters,

&n= bsp;

Does anyone know of a stain for fibrin and= platelets that isn't
Carstair's? I'm working on a small research cas= e and don't want to
buy all the nasty, icky ingredients for this stain (lik= e picric
acid)

Let me know if you do,
