Jackie, does this work well on FFPE sections as well? I just looked up
the product and it looks like it should, w/ citrate buffer & perhaps
with amplification. Just wondering if it is finicky or actually pretty
good signal...

Human mitochondria marker will stain only human cells.
Chemicon - catalog number MAB1273.  Your mouse is immunocompromised,
i.e., 
SCID?   No need to block mouse Ig to use this mAB.
I use this constantly to distinguish human tumor xenografts in mice.
