No. Fresh tissue placed into such a hypertonic solution will be damaged. The cells will collapse as water is rapidly extracted from them by osmosis.  And even if the osmotic tension of the solution itself didn't cause physical damage, leaving tissue unfixed for 24 hours or more will allow undesireable chemical changes to occur.
