I had best results with Schick Platinum Plus injector blades. I don't
know if they're still available.
These are blades made for a shaving razor, and I don't know if they
fit a Leica blade holder. They do fit the Vibratome.

>My lab recently bought a Leica VT1000S vibrating microtome and as I
>was unhappy with the saphire blade that the model was offered with,
>we have been circulating through numerous brands of disposable metal
>blades. Does anyone have a suggestion regarding disposable blades
>for cutting fixed and live brain tissue? Thx in advance.
