Good laboratory practice dictates that when validating IHC protocols,
the slides should be retained for at least two years as part of the
laboratory quality control system. Any of the slides that were used for
the assessment should be saved as those were used to arrive at your
finalized approach. The paper documentation records should be retained
for the life of the instrumentation, technology or test system
