I sent this to Sheila Adey in response to her query and thought it may be of
use elsewhere. Try this technique: (1) Trim specimens as usual, dry and
place into cassettes(2) Place into solution (Alcohol 600ml, Xylene 300ml and
Glacial acetic acid 100ml) for 4 hours, but 2-3 hours may suffice (3) Wash
in water (4) Place cassettes into formalin and process as usual. Cheers,
