Shall we all collectively yell "JOE ---  FIND A NEW JOB!"
I agree with you.  I wouldn't want to work for someone that wouldn't
stand behind me.  Did that once a long time ago, and won't do it again.

I am the only one to suggest that the real villains here are Joe's  
supervisors that reprimanded him for expressing his opinion?
