Description of position:
Performs technical functions necessary in preparation of tissues for
microscopic examination by the pathologist; assists the coordinator with
quality assurance monitoring; management of the immunohistochemical
(IHC) stains and associated quality control; assists the coordinator
with the implementation of new procedures and the evaluation of new
instruments; and assists the coordinator with training as necessary.  HT
or HTL (ASCP) certification is preferred; we will consider a Bachelors
degree in a related field and training in the department.
