Oh Why Not,

I've taken the position (that from the CAP comment section of this question)
that use of a non commercial grade microwave is still safe and usable
provided you limit its use to heating of reagents such as PBS, agar, and
tris or citrate buffers.

Are any of the chemicals we heat in our microwaves toxic? I don't think most
special stains solutions fall in that catagory. That's the first question to
answer before getting to wrapped up in this ventilation issue?

but what about using a table top fume absorber with charcoal filters? CAP
writes these questions so ambiguously that it becomes a joke. This is the
main reason why I have a negative attitude towards CAP.
