I am not in New York but I looked over the proposed legislation and was concerned that there is mention of, "Histological Procedures":
§ 8601. Definition of the practice of clinical laboratory technology and clinical laboratory technology practitioner.
"Clinical laboratory technology" means the performance of microbiological, virological, serological, chemical, immunohematological, hematological, biophysical, cytogenetical, cytological or histological procedures and examinations
But no mention of Histology Technicians, Histologists, Histotechnologists or Pathologists' Assistants.
The proposal specifically mentions Medical Technologists and Cytotechnologists.
What happened to the other categories? Can we be legislated out of a job?
