[Histonet] Cytologies crossing state lines

Hello in histoland. I am looking for information on whether or not you can ship freshly collected pap smears across state lines?! I have been told you can by one place and then told that you cannot at all. I know that you cannot send them across California's state line but what about the rest of the nation? I appreciate any help I can get. Thank you for your time and help.
