[Histonet] antigen retrieval/enzyme digestion

Has anyone any experience with using gelatin (or something else)
to embed tissue to hold it together during antigen retrieval?
Some have said that it can inerfere with immuno staining, others
say no. We sometines deal with poorly fixed or over fixed
post-mortem tissue in various species.
