I use a human mitochondria marker for exactly the same thing - works
perfectly.

Subject: [Histonet] Truly human-specific cytokeratin...
Help!! Does a truly human-specific (no murine cross-reactivity) antibody
to most cytokeratins actually exist? With conjugates? Or am I just
asking way too much.
I want to distinguish human solid tumor cells of epithelial origin from
mouse tissue in xenografts via immunohistochemistry.
